For the first time in Kazakhstan, the KOKSU WATER FEST 2023 was held from 13-19 June 2023 on the Koksu River in Kerbulak district, Zhetysu region.

The main organizers of the competition were the Tourist Information Center “VISIT ZHETYSU” and the Rafting Federation of Kazakhstan.

Special attention should be given to the sports part of the event. In the bright fight on the river Koksu 17 male and 6 female teams from various countries met.

On 27th of may, the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports, the Basque Rafting section, organized in Bidarray, in France, French Basque Country the II Basque Country Championship of Rafting (Downriver). There we went 10 young (7 men and 3 women) from to do a rafting race, the II. Basque Championship of Rafting, down the river. We chose the same area and river as last year to start the journey higher up and a guide from another company in the area accompanied us.

The Tara Cup is always exciting and challenging rafting competition, and the 2023 edition of the tournament was no exception. This year’s competition featured teams from two countries – Bosnia and Russia – all vying for the coveted title of Tara Cup champions.

The discipline for this year’s competition was downriver, which is widely regarded as one of the most thrilling and demanding forms of rafting. The teams had to navigate a challenging stretch of the Tara River, battling against the rapids, the currents, and each other to come out on top.

The World Cup Rafting series recently visited Banja Luka, Bosnia from June 2nd until June 4th. 19 national teams participated in this exciting event, making it an amazing showcase of rafting talent.

The organization of the event was top-notch and everything went smoothly, making it a great success. With all aspects of the competition being carefully planned and executed to perfection.  As we are used to from the Rafting Klub Kanjon!
