Thursday the 30th August 2012 was a sad day for the German rafting teams because they lost a close friend and long time team mate – Falk Schumann.Falk died of brain cancer in the Augsburg hospital after nearly 2 years of treatments, none which could save his life.

Falk was an architect and Gold medal winner at the 2007 WRC in Slalom in Korea and Bronze medalist at the WRC 2005 in Ecuador.

A minutes silence was held at the Euro Champs in his honour. You will be missed Falk.
