The Rafting and Water Tourism Federation of Latvia, the “Vienkārši” club invites you to the Water Tourism Competition “Amata 59”! Competitions in the Amata river actually take place from 1963, but officially – from 1964. Since 2001, the Amata competition has been held every year, and since 2003 it has been an annual event and a stage of the Latvian Water Tourism Championship. The competition program:
Day 1, April 7, 2023
From 5:00 p.m. arrival at “Bille” camp-site, hotel and registration for the event.
Day 2, April 8, 2023
From 8:00 a.m. arrival at the starting point at “Bille” camp-site
10:00 a.m. opening ceremony
10:30 a.m. sprint and slalom at the camp-site “Bille”
From 12:00 p.m. long downriver from the “Bille” camp-site to the Kārļu bridge (Zvārtes rock, Kārļu-Līgatne bridge) depending on the water level
5:00 p.m. evening program
6:00 p.m. – … awarding of winners of the Water Tourism Championship 2022. Awarding the individual winners of “Amata 59”. Sauna, dinner, music, board games and other delights will be provided.
You are free to bring your pictures, movies on flash drives, board games!!!
Day 3, April 9, 2023
10:00 a.m. team competition, ww*3 (in case of appropriate conditions)
11:30 a.m. awarding of teams
12:00 p.m. extra long downriver to the Kārļi-Līgatne bridge for those who want and can.
Participation in Amata competition and the extra downriver only with wristbands, which will cost 10 EUR (5 EUR for participants under 14 years of age). Evening program in the hospitable rooms of the guest house “Bille” – 20 EUR.
For overnight stay
Camping accommodation is included in the participation fee.

Bed – 12 EUR per person/night.
