The CZE 1 Open Men’s team have proven themselves masters of slalom. Their first run was a clear run AND the second fastest of the day (159.98). Their second run was the fastest of the day (158.54) with only a 5 sec penalty! An excellent performance.
It was a hard course with the lowest penalty points amongst the women’s categories being 20 secs from RUS 1 which claimed them the Gold in the Open Women’s category. Gates 2 and 3 seemed to be the most difficult and resulting in the most 50s.
In the U19 men SLO1 used home advantage to claim Gold. RUS1 took Gold in the U19 women.
Italy showed their teams are up and coming with Silver in both U19 categories and Bronze in the Open Women.
Russia and Czech once again added a good haul of medals to their growing collections.
Home crowds were pleased to see 4 medals from their teams for the day.

With only Downriver left, Russia is in 1st place overall in both U19 categories, U23 Women and Open Women. Czech is in first place in Masters Men and Open Men. Slovakia is first in Masters Women and Slovenia in U23 Men.
Tomorrow the teams move over to the Krka for Downriver practise, the races will be tomorrow.
