Boasting 25 KM of continuous Class V the Taureau Section of the Jacques-Cartier River is one Quebec’s toughest sections of whitewater and this Class V beast certainly lives up to the hype.
Checkout the adventure as Pascal Girard and his crew take on some incredible drops.
Located just outside of Quebec City, the Jacques-Cartier River carves a deep gorge through it’s namesake national park on it’s way to join the Saint Lawrence River. With some rightfully huge drops this river is not for the timid boater. Pascal has been exploring Canada’s Rivers for over 25 years via canoe, but he tells us that a grand canyon trip in November of 2015 showed him the true allure of rafting. After that trip he sold his canoe gear, bought a raft, and hasn’t looked back. As an avid outdoor writer Pascal certainly caused some waves when he wrote an article about his choice to set aside the canoe and join the ranks of whitewater rafters. Original article here.
