The countdown is on – just 100 days remain until the International Rafting Federation (IRF) World Rafting Championships take over the stunning Kampar River in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia!
From December 1–7, 2025, nearly 100 teams from 30 nations will come together to battle for world titles in the exhilarating disciplines of Sprint, Slalom, Head-to-Head, and Downriver. Hosted by the Malaysia Rafting Association in partnership with the IRF, this will be the biggest rafting event Malaysia has ever seen.
Teams will be traveling from across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania. Nations expected to compete include Australia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Slovakia, and Slovenia, among many others. This truly global line-up promises fierce competition and a celebration of rafting’s worldwide spirit.
The Championships will feature divisions for Open, Youth (U19), Junior (U23), and Masters (40+), bringing together paddlers of all ages and skill levels in a festival of athleticism, teamwork, and friendship.
